The Six Branches Of Magic

~ Shadow ~
Description: The element of Shadow (also known as death magic, shadow magic, art of darkness) is the hardest branch of kinesis to master. It is an unknown branch of telekinesis (the power to move reshape inanimate/animate objects), & comes to cursed creatures, or creatures that were born/hatched on a moonless night.
~ Ice ~
Description: The element of Ice (also known as ice magic, cryokinesis, art of ice) is an easier branch of magic to master. Most commonly known as Cryokinesis, cryokinetic creatures have the power to form/reshape ice structures. Many griffins (and other creatures that can pick up on magic) choose to practice Cryokinesis, but in order to be born/hatch with powers of ice, the egg/youngling must be encased in a tomb of ice.
~ Fire ~
Description: The element of Fire is more commonly found with a griffin’s common ally - dragons. This is also known as fire magic, pyrokinesis, or the art of fire. This is the most dangerous branch of kinesis to master - if uncontrolled, fires can burn for days and the pyrokinetics themselves may experience spontaneous combustion/being burned to death. Like all of the other branches of kinesis, Pyrokinesis can be picked up through practice, but in order to be born/hatched with these abilities, the egg/youngling must be put into a nest set on fire or have the caster of the fire blow this blaze onto the egg/youngling right there.
~ Earth ~
Description: The element of Earth is the easiest to master, not to mention one of the most common. There are two branches of earth kinesis (also known as Geokinesis, but more commonly known as Terrakinesis. Earth magic and the art of earth are also used as well) - the art of sand and the art of rock or dirt. Terrakinesis can be found within most of the griffin race.
~ Water ~
Description: The element of Water
~ Air ~
